A Brief History

Founded October 1, 2008, Dealer eProcess was born out of the dissatisfaction the owners had with their current websites in their own dealerships. They were tired of the poor lead production, non-customizable templates, and poor response to change orders. Dealer eProcess understands the wants and needs of auto dealers. We know website traffic, lead generation, and inventory merchandising are the lifeblood of the modern dealership.

Joe Gillespie
Chief Executive Officer

Joe Gillespie

Joe has been an entrepreneur, business owner, and real estate investor since the age of 21. He has years of experience owning six different new car franchises, becoming a dealer principal in 1998, acquiring his first two GM Franchise stores, Chevrolet & Pontiac, later purchasing Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Lincoln. What makes him different is that he has always been willing to take risks others wouldn’t because he believes in himself and the people he chooses to associate with. He has always been goal-oriented and ready to work hard and continue to keep learning. Great mentors guided him through his journey, which is why he loves the quote: “One good mentor could be more informative than a college education and more valuable than a decade of income.” Joe’s experience includes online real estate marketing and sales in the early 90’s. Although all of his retail endeavors have concluded, his love for the automotive space and all things digital continues at Dealer eProcess since 2009. While Joe remains an entrepreneur, his primary mission is the continued success of Dealer eProcess. He currently enjoys helping young entrepreneurs overcome their challenges to achieve their goals to become successful business owners.

Yago came from Spain in his mid-twenties after spending time in the military. He started working in the automotive industry in 1997 while earning his bachelor’s degree in computer science. After graduating in 2001 he started several companies in the automotive industry pertaining to inventory, marketing, and websites, some of which still exist today. Joining Dealer eProcess in 2012 was the next step allowing him to work in a larger environment and to continue to develop technology solutions for the business he loves so much. He currently focuses on team members and company growth.

Angela has been with Dealer eProcess since the inception of the company. She has adapted through many different functions and aspects in her business career. Over the past 30 years her central concentration has been in Finance and Management including real estate, property management, commercial development and the auto industry. She has managed finance and operational functions throughout many industries. Her tenacious attitude allows her to effectively resolve issues and a warm personality to solve it tactfully. Angela’s degree is from Benedictine University (BA - Management & Accounting); she is currently working on completion of her MBA. Some fun facts about Angela include that she is an Illinois licensed real estate broker, a 1st degree black belt, certified personal trainer, and in her free time enjoys running, biking, weightlifting, and yoga!

Gino is a regular speaker at industry events and a frequent contributor to many industry blogs and publications.

Jim Bodine has worked for DEP since our inception in 2008 and was one of the founding employees of Dealer eProcess. Jim was previously the Chief Technology Officer, and the person behind our initial platform. He has worked tirelessly to grow the company from 5 employee’s to what we are today! Jim now spends his time managing and monitoring our data center, managing our inventory platform, along with assisting and troubleshooting alongside the development team. When not working, Jim enjoys spending time with his family including his 5 grandchildren.

Sam Vukas had a love for automotive that began at a very young age. He started by rebuilding wrecked vehicles with his father in their garage and aspired to be an automotive technician. As soon as he could, he got a job as a porter in hopes to be around the technicians and try to learn more. From there he quickly decided he wanted to work in service but not as a technician. He worked his way up from porter to dispatcher, then warranty administrator, next to assistant service manager, and eventually Fixed-Ops Director. After working in the dealership for years, he decided he wanted a new challenge and joined the DEP team in 2015, overseeing business development and innovation. In that role, Sam Vukas served automotive dealerships by identifying new ideas and best practices to accelerate their growth and grow the overall value to the shoppers.

Caroline Hollis has been with Dealer eProcess since 2012; working on the OEM & Compliance team since 2018. Prior to that, Caroline worked in the launch, development and digital marketing departments as well. This has given her great knowledge of the Dealer eProcess platform from all aspects. This knowledge and dedication to each brand has contributed to DEP’s growth its OEM program penetration.

Chris Liaw has been in the tech industry for 10+ years and has been with Dealer eProcess since 2014. Before taking on his current role, Chris worked as a web developer lead, overseeing the development of SARA, Dealer eProcess’ proprietary Digital Retailing tool, and the pricing tools that Dealers use on their sites today. He is currently responsible for creating policies and procedures for all technology departments that add visibility and transparency while improving communication with business operations. During his spare time, Chris enjoys golfing.

Gina Gamons has been with DEP since 2015 and has been a VP of Finance in the technology industry for over 12 years. She is responsible for the monthly and annual close of the financial records, managing cash flow and overseeing the billing process. She also manages the payroll and tax reporting as well as assisting management with financial strategies and planning. Gina loves to spend time outdoors, hiking and exploring the Phoenix mountain ranges!

Since 2017, she has led the Product Marketing team to both internally and externally educate the industry on Dealer eProcess’ all-inclusive line of dealership solutions, while building brand recognition. Jenna loves spending her weekends working on DIY and crafting projects, and hanging out with her Yorkie, Holly.

When she’s not diligently servicing client needs at America’s premier provider of automotive digital services, Dealer eProcess, she’s the CEO of a household in Naperville, Illinois with her COO, Mike, and four junior team members ages 8-17.

Kayla has worked with dealerships across North America from larger dealer groups to smaller independents improve their marketing footprint on Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, and Waze channels. She began with Dealer eProcess in 2015 as a senior digital marketing specialist and moved her way up to the Director of Digital Marketing. If her off hours of analyzing data and strategizing marketing plans, she can be found hanging out with her daughter and trying new restaurants.

Steven has been in the auto industry for 26 years, holding various positions. For the last decade, he has managed a photo-taking company that processes 25,000 vehicles per month (that’s a lot of photos, pricing, setups and everything in-between). However, one of his biggest achievements has been the development of DEPi, Dealer eProcesss inventory system that integrates with various automotive websites. Steven is experienced in pricing vehicles, DMS sets, option codes, third party feeds, automotive photography, lot organization and processes, custom inventory, data blending, and more! Steven is happily married with five kids and an English Bulldog named Princess Leia.

He has a background in coding as well as customer support. In addition to this, he helps navigate through legal compliance issues and crafted our solutions & partnerships for ADA & CCPA.
